Six years ago I weighed 356 pounds. This is what came after — and who it's for.

The Start

I'm not a coach who's always been fit. I started exactly where a lot of people are afraid to start.

I've lost 146 pounds — not in a challenge, not for a photo. Slowly and stubbornly, one decision at a time. Along the way I taught myself to run; I'm closing in on two years of it now, every mile tracked. I learned to lift. I'm still going, still chasing the last stretch toward my own goal.

Too heavy, too self-conscious, sure that a gym was a place for other people — I know that feeling because I lived in it. Reforged is for anyone who's ever felt that way. No hype. No shortcuts. Just what actually worked, from someone who had to figure it out from the bottom.
